ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Launches Its First Dedicated Pathology Monitor Developed for Modern Digital Pathology Workflows

PX3150

Hakusan, Japan, July 14, 2026 - ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced the launch of the PX3150 – a 30.5-inch medical monitor with a resolution of 8 megapixels (4096 x 2160 pixels), offering a wider display area than standard 4K monitors (3840 x 2160), developed specifically for digital histopathology. Designed to support the growing adoption of digital pathology, the PX3150 addresses the need for reliable visual interpretation in diagnostic practice.

As digital pathology becomes an integral part of routine diagnostics, laboratories are managing growing case volumes alongside increasing diagnostic complexity. With histology workflows increasingly digitized through the scanning of tissue slides for microscopic evaluation, known as Whole Slide Imaging (WSI), pathologists now rely on digital images as the primary basis for interpretation. This shift makes consistency and reproducibility in visual presentation essential. The PX3150 is ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ’s first dedicated pathology monitor, developed to support the precision and quality assurance required in this evolving medical field.

To ensure accurate color reproduction from first use, each PX3150 monitor is individually adjusted at ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ’s factory. Color gamut and gamma are precisely calibrated to accurately render the sRGB color space, providing a reliable visual reference for the evaluation of digitized histopathology slides created through WSI.

Because a monitor’s display characteristics gradually change over time, regular recalibration is essential to maintain long-term consistency. The Integrated Front Sensor (IFS) built into the monitor’s bezel enables color accuracy checks and calibration without the need for an external sensor. Using ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ’s RadiCS quality control software’s scheduling function, routine quality checks can be run automatically during off-hours, such as overnight, allowing continuous quality management without interrupting daily clinical operations.

The PX3150 has obtained clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use as a Digital Pathology Display and complies with Class A requirements under the European In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR), the EU regulatory framework for medical devices used in clinical laboratory testing. By meeting these international standards, the monitor provides a highly reliable display environment designed for pathology diagnostic applications.

As part of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ’s commitment to sustainability, the monitor’s housing is made of 70% recycled plastic. Its packaging uses molded pulp made from recycled cardboard and newspaper instead of conventional recycled styrofoam or plastic, and cables are wrapped in paper instead of plastic bags. It also uses halogen-free PCBs (printed circuit boards). These efforts help reduce environmental impact and promote resource conservation.

As digital pathology continues to mature into routine clinical practice, the need for visual consistency becomes increasingly foundational. The PX3150 supports this transition by providing a stable visual basis for pathology interpretation in digital diagnostic environments.
